REPORT ON DEPARTMENTAL ACTIVITIES (JULY, 2021) DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL ENGINEERING

Activity 01:

Commencement of Spring Session 2021, Civil Engineering and Technology, ZUFESTM

The Spring Session 2021 of Civil Engineering and Technology programs commenced at North and Link Road Campuses of Ziauddin University on 5^th July, 2021. All lectures are being scheduled on regular basis, considering the current pandemic situation of COVID-19.

Activity 02:

Departmental Meeting, Civil Engineering, ZUFESTM

On 7^th July, 2021, a faculty meeting was organized by Engr. Syed Faraz Jafri, Chairperson, Department of Civil Engineering. The main agendas of meeting were upcoming PEC accreditation visit and Departmental Research Growth. Furthermore, smooth execution of Spring 2021 Semester (Engineering and Technology Programs) was also discussed by him.

Activity 03:

Participation of Chairperson Civil Engineering in Online Webinar

An online webinar on “How to prepare Self-Assessment Report” was attended by Chairperson Engr. Syed Faraz Jafri on 19^th July, 2021. The session was organized by QEC and speaker of the session was Mr. Imranullah Khan Marwat, Director Quality Assurance, Higher Education Department, Peshawar. The purpose to execute this webinar was to provide sufficient information in context to understanding the preparation of Self-Assessment Report, and designing objectives and outcomes of the programs.

Activity 04:

Departmental Research Cell Meeting, Civil Engineering, ZUFESTM

On 28^th July, 2021, a Departmental Research Cell Meeting was organized by Dr. Engr. Ruhal Pervez, Convener/ Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering. The main agendas of meeting were production of quality-based research and its promotion in the form of research paper publications. Furthermore, strategies for linkage with Departmental Final Year Projects (FYPs) were also identified by him.
