Activity 01:

Appreciation of Dean ZUFESTM for Chairperson Civil Engineering

In appreciation for the entire efforts of Department, Dean ZUFESTM, Dr. Fahad Azim, presented a Laptop to Chairperson, Engr. Syed Faraz Jafri, on 31^st May, 2021. Similar shall be utilized for effective departmental working in accordance with the provided esteemed infrastructure support.

Activity 02:

1^st Board of Studies (BOS) Meeting, Architecture, ZUFESTM

1^st online meeting of Board of Studies (BOS), Architecture, ZUFESTM was held on 1^st June, 2021. Assistant Professor and Secretary BOS, Ar. Quart-ul-Ain Anwar, presented the agendas of meeting accordingly. In addition to prime agendas, the focused areas of meeting were revision and approval of scheme of studies followed by the vision and mission statements of 5 years B. Arch. Program in considerations to PLO mapping under the guidelines of OBE system.

Activity 03:

Participation of Civil Engineering Faculty in Online CPD Activity on CQI Mechanism

An online CPD (0.5) activity on ‘CQI Mechanism’ was attended by all faculty members of Department of Civil Engineering on 7^th June, 2021. The resource person of this seminar was Dr. Awais Javed, Assistant Professor, COMSATS University. The purpose to execute this CPD activity was to provide sufficient information in context to CQI Mechanism as the Outcome Based Education (OBE) practice requires that the Continual Quality Improvement (CQI) process is implemented to continuously improve the quality of teaching and learning of an education program. All faculty members appreciated the knowledge gained form this intellectual and informative online session.

Activity 04:

Departmental Meeting, Civil Engineering, ZUFESTM

On 19^th June, 2021, a faculty meeting was organized by Engr. Syed Faraz Jafri, Chairperson, Department of Civil Engineering. The main agendas of meeting were forthcoming PEC Accreditation Visit for Department and commencement of Spring 2021 semester (Civil Engineering and Technology Programs). Furthermore, strategies for departmental research growth and field visits were also elaborated by him.

Activity 05:

8^th Board of Studies (BOS) Meeting, Civil Engineering, ZUFESTM

8^th online meeting of Board of Studies (BOS), Civil Engineering Department, ZUFESTM was held on 30^th June, 2021. Chairperson and Convener BOS, Engr. Syed Faraz Jafri, chaired the meeting however Assistant Professor and Secretary BOS, Engr. Khawaja Sheeraz presented the same accordingly. The main agendas of meeting were approval of revised content of PLO-7 (Environment & Sustainability) in graduate Programs, approval of new nomenclatures of course codes and approval of the Syllabi of 4 years BS Civil Technology Evening Program.

Activity 06:

Conduction of Mid Term and Final Term Examinations, Summer Program, ZUFESTM

In order to timely conclude the Summer Session of BE Civil Engineering program, Midterm and Final term examinations has been executed in North Campus in accordance with COVID-19 SOPs. Students were also assessed for their Lab/ Viva examinations against the registered courses in Summer program.
