On the 23rd of September, 2022 North campus’s student council body organized a special seminar for the betterment of Food Science and Technology batch 1. The speakers of this seminar were Ms. Nusrat Zehra and Dr. Natasha Abbas Butt. Both gave a very interactive and informative session in order to make them aware of what the beauty of this field is and where an individual graduate can go. Both were given equal time limits and talked about specific topics like:
- Field Introduction
- Direct and indirect Food Science field applications
- Skills that will be polished
- Think right from today
- How to set realistic career goals
- Do’s and Don’ts while choosing any field
- Types of industry with career opportunities
- Strategies while building up your network
- Food Science as an emerging field
In a nutshell, this seminar was a real success, the hosting, done by Neha Ashfaq (Biotech batch 1) was great, our volunteers were all synchronized in what to do and what not to do, our speakers were very knowledgeable and kept the audience awake and interested. There was also a very successful question and answer session that removed many queries about this field. Lastly, our honorable dean Dr. Fahad came to give a compassionate speech and presented out shields for our esteemed guests.
