Department of Management, Technology and Information Sciences, ZUFESTM at Ziauddin University, organized the 6th Board of Studies(BoS) meeting at North Campus. Experts from Academia and Industry Participated with valuable suggestions and guidance. The Department of MT&IS, BBA Semester 6 students at Ziauddin University hosted an amazing activity, Chill & Thrill Winter Bash, on November 14, 2023. This activity was part of a Services Marketing course for BBA final-year students.  Students from different Batches of BBA also participated as Volunteers. This activity provided a hands-on experience of managing different events for their future professional life.  At the end of the event, all volunteers and organizers, along with faculty, gathered to celebrate the successful event. 

ALHAMDULILLAH, Our final year students of Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering in the Department of Computer Science & Software Engineering at ZUFESTM showcased the conference paper at the International Conference of Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technology (ICAIET) in Multan on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, earned the distinction of being the third-best paper in the conference.

The department of MT&IS, ZUFESTM, North Campus, had arranged a Guest Speaker session on “Energy Sector Crisis in Pakistan” for BBA students on September 11, 2023. Mr. Muhammad Waqas, has held a position of Director Finance & CFO of an energy sector organisation (UEP Wind Power Private Limited).

The department of MT&IS, ZUFESTM, North Campus, had arranged a Career Counselling seminar for BBA students on September 6, 2023. Ms. Adeeba Khan Afridi, Founder and CEO, IDRAK- a Consultancy and research firm, shared her wisdom on “A Success Marathon for Business Management Students,” leaving all inspired and motivated for the journey ahead in
the business world.

The department of MT&IS arranged a guest speaker session for the students of BS MT&IS, BSDS, and MBA on September 7, 2023.
The guest speaker, Mr. Maaz Mohammad Siddiqui, Patron and Ex-President of Youth Intelligentsia, gave a lecture on “The Principles of Islamic Economics and International Banking Facilities.”

August 31, 2023: “Cyber Security Workshop” organized by the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering was held at Ziauddin University North Campus.

The Workshop started by our esteemed Head of Department, Engr. Dr. Sheikh Muhammad Munaf with a warm welcome to all the participants in the hall. Then Mr. Muhammad Hafiz Ur Rehman who were invited as a guest speaker, gave a brief account on the agenda items to be discussed. He emphasized the importance of data security by simulating some cyber-attacks. It was a very informative workshop for students as every student should know the basic security steps so they can protect themselves from cyber-attacks.

At the end Dr. Sheikh Muhammad Munaf also appreciated the efforts of Mr. Muhammad Hafiz Ur Rehman and presented the token of appreciation to him. The department would also like to thank Dr. Syed Muhammad Atif, Assistant Professor and Mr. Muhammad Anus, Lecturer in Computer Science and Software Engineering Department for organizing this workshop successfully.

The department of MT&IS has arranged another Guest Speaker session on “The Evolution of Commercial banking in Pakistan”

August 25, 2023: “FYP Workshop 2023 – Computer Science & Software Engineering Department” organized by the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering was held at Ziauddin University North Campus for the students of BSSE and BSDS program of Batch 2020.

The FYP Workshop commenced with an insightful opening address by our esteemed Head of Department, Engr. Dr. Sheikh Muhammad Munaf, who emphasized the importance of innovative thinking and interdisciplinary collaboration in the field of computer science and software engineering. Furthermore, to share the industry experience Engr. Rehan Adil were invited as guest speaker, providing insights into current industry trends and offering invaluable career advice to our students. After that Dr. Syed Muhammad Atif, Assistant Professor in Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering, ZUFESTM, discussed the norms and practice that will be followed by the department throughout Final Year Project. The workshop ended with the long QNA session.

The FYP Workshop undoubtedly achieved its objectives of fostering a collaborative learning environment, encouraging innovation, and preparing our students for successful careers in the ever-evolving landscape of computer science and software engineering.
